Tributes While I Am Still Alive

          

    My birthday is coming soon, April 1. 

I am 39 and very proud of it. Most women shy away from their age and I can’t really tell why?! My younger sister is always dreading her birthdays and one of my cousin’s have been 26 for the past 5 years. 

I am one person who bluntly says my age whenever I am asked, irrespective of who and how it’s asked!

Yes 39 and beautiful at heart 💜.

No children yet and relationship is very much complicated. Relationship wise, I guess I’ve become too comfortable being single. (Hope my mum will skip this part)

The things I look out for now are so funny and petty.

1. How he chews when eating 

2. Use of shorthand to chat 

3. His cologne 

4. Low key on social media 

5. I’ll end it at 4.

In my 39 years on earth, I’ve made some mistakes and learnt a lot from it.

I’ve hurt people and  I’m deeply sorry, if you are one of them. Others I know, others I have no clue about. I’m not PERFECT!

One thing is certain, I’ve met beautiful people along this journey called LIFE who have in one way or the other changed my way of thinking, living and approaching issues, I’m very grateful for them.

Apart from family, Some have dropped off the friend zone either by choice or as fate would have it, others we’ve patched up but just on a need  basis, some are so amazing you just can’t get rid of them even if they annoy you to the core. They are either from work, church, fellowships, associations, neighbors, school mates and introductions through known people. 

A year and a half ago I met this amazing person in a shop, we’ve become so close and share all amazing stuffs and I wonder where you have been all these years, but in life, you can’t explain it all. Like....Why you met someone you feel you should’ve known long ago.

Enough of the people in my life, let’s focus on MY BIRTHDAY!

I mostly turn my phone off on that day , I remember lodging in a hotel all weekend with my phone off when I turned 35.

40 is a big deal and will be celebrated when we have life.. I’m looking forward to that but, who knows? It might be celebrated solo like always.

So for this 39th all I want is tributes whiles I am alive because we all know the kind of lies told when people die. The dead can’t speak nor hear so what do they care? I just want to know what you’d write about me should I drop dead anytime, my prayer is to live till age 96. So help me God . Grateful to God for the gift of life. Definitely not where I want to be in life but graciously far from where I used to be🙏. For the 39th celebrations, I would like to donate items to the female inmates of Ho Prisons and if you are touched to support this cause, you are gladly welcome.
