Birthday Loading!!!

*Clears throat* 

Let me introduce us; call us ‘The Friends’. We laugh, love and live.

We celebrate birthdays because willy-nilly, time flies and we might never get another opportunity to have the merry moments we make time to enjoy (creating fond memories is our goal).


Our last birthday celebration was an exceptional one. The Friends had breakfast at woody-serene  ambiance, it was at a beach hotel. As soon as I saw the place, I knew our pictures would pop (pictures to prove we were there). 


How can one forget a delicious crêpe?  I can still taste it in my mouth i only have to close my eyes and imagine myself there. 

The mesmerizing taste of the strawberry syrup dripping slowly on the crêpe gave us our unforgettable ‘foodgasm’. 

We concluded  their crêpes were perfectly made and a die for. 

What’s a birthday celebration without champagne?  “Here’s to life, beautiful friendships, love, orgasms, health and wealth”. We deserve everything good!


After the sumptuous breakfast, we headed to the beach. There, we took our pictures, had hearty conversations, loud laughs(that will be me) and our cocktails.  


I may not remember our conversations nor the juicy gossips but our smiles tell a cheery story(I see it in our photos). We were happy together. 


This year is different. What’s fun in these covid-19 times? The Friends want to have some safe-healthy fun. It’s ‘our’ birthday in two weeks.

  I thought we had Covid-19  under control but Ghana is steadily moving to a second wave of covid cases. Why? People are not taking the Covid-19 protocols serio usly and that’s pretty upsetting . My teammate joins the public transport every day to work and she tells me, she’s sometimes the only one wearing the mask. That’s very unfortunate. I wish we will all be responsible because covid doesn’t end with how cautious you are. We protect ourselves to save ourselves and others. Wear your masks, wash your hands, keep a sanitizer and observe social distance.   Don’t panic if the result is positive, you will be fine. I know you will be.  Drink warm water with crushed ginger and garlic. Add some lemon for a zesty effect. Most importantly, obey the body. Rest. Sleep. Drink water. Lots of it. And stay positive. You will be fine. Talk to friends who care. I just want to send a special mention to that friend who tested positive, you are loved. I will keep praying for you...

Tributes While I Am Still Alive

                My birthday is coming soon, April 1.   I am 39 and very proud of it. Most women shy away from their age and I can’t really tell why?! My younger sister is always dreading her birthdays and one of my cousin’s have been 26 for the past 5 years.  I am one person who bluntly says my age whenever I am asked, irrespective of who and how it’s asked! Yes 39 and beautiful at heart 💜. No children yet and relationship is very much complicated. Relationship wise, I guess I’ve become too comfortable being single. Everything Good Will Come

My sweat baptized me.” ~Enitan Taiwo.  The day Fanny told me “everything good will come”, I felt she was in a better place so she could afford to say things like this to me.  I thought she didn’t understand my pain. I am sure she sensed I wasn’t impressed. Those words sounded like she was being dismissive of my pain. That was far from it. Now, I know better.  Thank you, Fanny.  I have learned; those words are one of the kindest words someone can say to you. You have to enjoy the process. It’s all yours! What’s life without the downs?
